About Us

The YogaFlow Logo is a combination of Anahata, the Heart Chakra, a 12 petal green lotus flower, representing the gateway between the material and spiritual worlds; and Natarajasana or Dancer Pose representing the cosmic dance of transformation. This dance is not for mere entertainment but rather to transcend our limited ego to the boundless, blissful, infinite state of union which is eternal.

The word yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning union. Yoga strengthens, stretches, and unites our body, mind and spirit. Flow means to move with ease and grace in an unbroken continuity. When we practice YogaFlow we learn to move freely with ease and grace from the heart in union with body, mind & spirit.

YogaFlow is an eclectic vinyasa hatha style inspired by the teachings of Krishnamacharya who revolutionized hatha yoga as we know it today. Vinyasa means to synchronize the breath with mindful movement of the body, creating yoga flow sequences making the practice a meditative dance.

Safety first is our motto so alignment and proper position is key to learning the yoga asanas or postures. As the saying goes, good training lasts a lifetime and bad training takes a lifetime to correct!

The YogaFlow style was created by working with a strong foundation in alignment, breath centered practices and therapeutic applications. By incorporating all three of these aspects we in turn create safe exercises where everyone will walk away receiving exactly what they need.

Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, the Guru of Ananda Ashrams teachings have been and continue to be the inspiration and heart of YogaFlow. The foundation of YogaFlow Body & Mind has evolved into a heart centered practice by working with various hatha styles and Guruji’s teachings.

We strive to make sure each student is treated for the unique individual they are while receiving the personal guided attention they deserve.

Our classes are small so our teachers make sure you are getting the proper attention needed to achieve correct alignment which is the foundation needed to achieve the physical and physiological benefits the practice has to offer.

YogaFlow classes are designed to make you feel good no matter what your level is. Whether it’s your first class or if you have a regular yoga practice you simply feel better not only physically but mentally as well. We learn to let go of judgment and criticism not only with the people around us but within our own life as well. Every class is designed around honoring and respecting our body for where we are in that very moment. While being playful and having fun we learn to take our practice serious but ourselves lightly. As the popular yoga teacher Baron Baptist says: “Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly!”

Here at YogaFlow our teachers offer a wide variety of classes, styles and personalities. In addition to group classes we offer private yoga sessions to help get you started developing your own practice while paying attention to your specific needs.

Private Yoga Therapy Sessions are also available to help relieve conditions such as Stress and related disorders, Back Care, Women’s Health Issues, Fibromyalgia, Prenatal Yoga, Cancer, Depression and more.

In addition YogaFlow also offers Reiki Therapeutic Treatment Sessions and Reiki Training, Corporate Stress Management Programs, YogaFlow Kids, Workshops, Biyearly Retreats and YogaFlow Body & Mind Teacher Training 200 and 500 Hour Certification Programs Registered with Yoga Alliance.

Even when not sitting in formal meditation, the seeker can pray mentally. He or she can sing or listen to the glories of liberated souls and the scriptures. Thus, even while engaged in the ordinary activities of life, one should create the fragrance and art of love in one’s mind.
